princess

I had a little princess on my hands this morning, well she is always our little princess but her pj's corresponded to her status at the house today!

She just melts me to pieces!  I cannot believe how fast she is growing.
Just proof she isn't always in a bow, but as you can tell she just isn't as happy without one :)
Momma wasnt interesting anymore once she noticed...
this guy jumped on the couch.  She has really started paying attention to Kobe and just watches him all the time.
Speaking of the little princess...I can hear her stirring on the monitor so I better go check on her!  Have a wonderful week!

pictures

I found some pictures on my camera that I hadnt posted.  Here is from about 2 weeks ago around Kali's 3 month birthday.
 Auntie Beth & Kali
Uncle Jayson & Kallen
I dont get a cake for every month, but I have for a couple (Okay I realize she is only 3 months old so I dont know if I can say it like that, but I really haven't got one for every month) because I feel so unbelievably blessed to have this sweet girl so we have to celebrate sometimes!
I didnt want to get her too close in case her foot or hand or anything else for that matter went into the cake
She apparently wasnt in the mood to smile for those pictures...
 Mid laugh
She has some pretty awesome auntie's!
Kali agrees :)

Play date

This was from Kali's first official cousin play date!  I am sure they will start to get crazier and more entertaining but here is the epitome of Kallen & Finn's day :)

Hopers had fun at least!  This was at her calmest state...right before her nap.  Such a beautiful little girl!

Thanks for having us over Auntie Beth, Hope & Finn!  We cant wait for many play dates in the future, we love you!

new look

I got a new look from Leslie over at Sweetie Baby Designs & just love it!
Thanks so much Leslie!

On the mend

This past week consisted of Joshua & I having bronchitis, which turned into a cough/cold/congestion for this little miss.  I am thankful it didnt turn into anything more, but boy, sick babes are NO fun!!
At the doc.  She had a 101 fever so I thought I better get it checked out.  She was not a happy camper.

We are all on the mend but the blog has been lacking.  So here are a few updated pictures!!
Kali has started rolling to her side, not fully over yet, but halfway!!
She has a miniature "violet" that sings lullabyes that she loves!

This is how the little priss sleeps.  She needs her lovey on one side & another blanket on her other side.  It worries her daddy to pieces and she is constantly checked on during the night.
Her official 3 month photo.  She is starting to get some chub on those long legs of her's!

She has started to really enjoy and play with her play gym.  We think she is 'totally cute'

3 months

My sweet baby girl, you are 3 months old!  I cannot believe it.  Here is what you are up to.

You are wearing 3-6 month clothes, and some 6-12 month clothes.  The 6-12 is mainly your jammies - because you have long legs (I hope that sticks with you, you will be thankful and did NOT get that from momma).
You are wearing size 2 diapers.  I think size 3 is in the near future to prevent some untimely blowouts that are simply no fun to clean up.
Your lovey is a very important item around this household.  You go to bed with it every night and most of your naps.
Something switched for your baths.  You loved them after we were done with the sponge baths, and then in the past 2 weeks you just do not like them.  I don't know what happened.  I have tried bathing you right after you eat when your happiest, and just no luck.  You are not having it.  Any ideas are welcome here!
(dont be looking for a bath picture, we have not even attempted one recently!)

You have really found your hands this past month!  You will look and stare at them, it is pretty funny.  Then they usually end up in your mouth.
You still L.O.V.E your paci.  Nothing else to say here but you have a love for the paci.
You are a rockstar eater.  You are still exclusively breastfeeding and you eat between 3.5-4 ounces (when you take a bottle) every 3 hours during the day.  Sometimes it is a little less, and I dont think you have ever gone longer than 4 hours.  At night it is longer, thankfully ;)
You were sleeping in your car seat at night (you had a cold & were congested so your pediatrician recommended it, and that night you slept 8-9 hours!) and sleeping around 6-7 hours straight.  I decided to start just putting you in your pack and play, and although the first few nights you were up quite a bit, you have been quite the champ.  You are now sleeping from about 8:30 - 3 or 4 and then get up to eat and usually go back to sleep for another 2 hours.  Sometimes you stir and wake up throughout that time but just need your paci and you will go right back down.

You love your swing.  You will take naps in that during the day over an hour.  If you are sleeping anywhere else (such as your pack & play or crib) then it is at most 45 minutes.  Baffles my mind.  Oh well, to the swing it is :)
We are working on babywise.  You do so well on a schedule so if we can get it down I think you will just thrive!  Right now you are a little off with sleeping after you eat rather than having play/alert time...so we are working on that!  The past 2 days actually you have been doing pretty well so I am hoping it stays!  You are taking 2 naps a day, sometimes you have a few cat naps here and there, but mainly just the 2.
You are still not a huge fan of tummy time, but are tolerating it a little more day by day.  You last longer if I prop you on your boppy compared to just on your tummy.
You are still our morning child.  You get that from your father...I prefer the morning over late at night, but by no means would I consider myself a "morning person".  You are just happy as a clam and a chatty kathy.
Kali, I am so happy you are a healthy, happy girl!  Although it makes me so sad to see you grow so fast, I am so thankful that you are our perfect, sassy little thing.  I feel so unbelievably blessed that I get to spend my days with you and I wouldn't trade it for anything!
I am going to go smooch you up right NOW!

Melt my heart

Helping momma with laundry.  Did I mention I love doing laundry?  I do at least a load a day, if not more.  Usually I dont have to do more than one because I keep up on it so much.  I dont know what it is - but I love it!  Teach 'em young right?
Senior night for Auntie Nikki - I cannot believe my baby sister is a senior!
I dont remember if we were coming or going - but she was out!  Her hair definitely looks like it has a red tint to it in this picture...my family has alot of red (not super bright red) so we are interested if the little miss will have some red locks.  I am thinking it will be blonde...but we will see.
Melt my heart.  Kal loves to sit up and check everything out.  We cant help but smile at that face!
Momma's sassy little girl.  She wore this to church, I cant get over that jean skirt!
Playing on her play mat...and watching tv.  She doesnt have any interest in the musical attachment for the play mat, but loves looking at the tv...
So happy!  She has started to laugh a little - it is super cute!
Raise the roof!  Isn't that what all the hip cool kids are saying these days?  They arent?  Oh well...when Kallen is on the floor, she seems to just love raising those arms!  They are always up and all over.  If they arent raised in the air you can find them in her mouth, over her face, or just flailing all over.

I will hopefully get the rest of my project 365 all caught up tomorrow.  I have a feeling that this is how the months are going to go...but hey, as long as I get a picture a day - ill be happy!

Kali & I are super excited because we have a fun cousin play date planned tomorrow!  We can't wait to hangout with Hopers & Finn (nickname to come soon I'm sure) & Auntie Beth!

Happy mid-week!
